This guide is just part of a larger DASH Data Guide.
The Illegal Dump Site dataset includes information on illegal dumpsites, their type of trash, and the estimate tons of trash at each site. The information was provided by Allegheny Cleanways, and collected as part of a 2005 survey in Allegheny County.

Where to Find the Data
Things to Know
- The majority of the surveying efforts completed in 2005 were centered around the City of Pittsburgh and do not capture all illegal dumpsites in existence in the County.
- In 2016 a new survey assessing illegal dumpsites in all of Allegheny County’s municipalities was initiated.
