Where to Find the Data
Things to Know
The location for each homicide represents where the individual was found deceased, not their home address. In a case where an individual was hurt and taken to the hospital where they pass away, the scene of the crime is still used for the location information. In some cases if field data regarding the location of the crime is not captured, the location of the hospital was used.
