The estimate was produced by the Reinvestment Fund in their work with the Allegheny County Department of Economic Development.

Where to Find the Data

Things to Know

  • The housing unit information was obtained from the 2010-2014 (5 year) American Community Survey from the U.S. Census Bureau.
  • To produce the estimate of the properties in distressed condition, the Reinvestment Fund used information on residential parcels from the Allegheny County Property Assessment database. Properties whose condition was listed as “very poor” and “unsound” were included in the estimate, along with properties in “poor” condition having a County property tax delinquency of three or more years in length.
